What the collar controls

The listing calls the feeder automatic, but it does not establish timed portion dispensing or a meal schedule. You load the bowl yourself. The automatic action concerns access to that food, so someone comparing programmable feeders should check the functions separately.

The buyer reported sleeping through the first night after introducing the feeder. Their praise included a reservation: they expected other cats to learn to take a few bites during the delay before the bowl closed.

The seller states a 10-second closing delay. Buyers describe different intervals, and we have not measured it. Watch the feeder with your own pets before depending on it to separate diets; the listing does not establish that every attempt to take food will be blocked.

Shield fit and bowl removal

A September 15, 2026 review by That One Girl praised the automatically paired collars and said all three cats learned to use their feeders quickly. The same review reported that a Maine Coon’s head did not fit the shield, requiring its removal. Getting bowls out for cleaning also caused inconvenience.

Removing a shield changes the barrier around the food. Check fit and observe the other cats’ access after any adjustment. The seller permits wet food but warns against leaving it inside for extended periods; a closed lid does not establish a safe storage time or refrigeration.

This feeder can help organize access to different foods, but a feeding device cannot determine a medical diet or treat disease. Keep any veterinary feeding instructions separate from the equipment choice.
